At Canterbury Girls’ High School students from years 7-11 are given the opportunity to record their own original songs in a recording studio. Formerly this was as part of the Kool Skools Recording Project, but from 2019 we are independent.

Each year a week is set aside for any students who have written songs to travel to a studio and have their songs recorded and mixed. This provides young songwriters with valuable experiences in the studio and develops their songwriting skills.

CG#Sounds is the program’s newest guise, organised entirely by music teachers at the school. This website has all of the songs we have recorded over the years. They are all the original work and musicianship of high school students. We hope you enjoy!
